Over the years societies have been evolving , people seek for new things to make them happy , socially accepted morals have been changing , things like pop culture and social trends have started to take its told on individuals both negatively and positively. Sometimes the effects of these changes on individuals is beginning to having a damning effect on human interaction and personal bonds which is ultimately destructive psychologically and physically which leads to the question is romance and true love dead ? .
Another thing that goes on is people taking part in weird sexual fetishes , like engaging in affairs outside a relationship to spice it up or make it a bit more exciting
Today we see people indulge in toxic relationships that are not beneficial to their lives , or bring any sustained period of happiness. Some people enjoy the thrills of heart wrenching, emotionally draining relationships because of the existence of “ drama “ . Same drama that will leave them feeling unloved for certain periods or even most of it because they find a normal peaceful relationship with no major fights , quarrels or arguments a bit too boring so they spice it up by being toxic and problematic to get some attention.
I watched this Netflix show a while back “You Me Her “ where a couple not having an amazing sex life decide to bring a third party to make their sex life more interesting, yes it worked but they found themselves getting jealous of who spends more time with the other . Another instance is the anthology series “ Easy “ directed by Joe Swanberg explores the diverse lives of Chicago characters modern Romance and culture, when in S2 episode 02 and S3 episode 1 and 5 we see a couple Andi and Kyle explore an open marriage and they begin to see other people . At the end of episode 5 , they both had realized the complexities of an open marriage and how it doesn’t fully satisfy you and leaves a lot question marks . For Kyle he had fallen in love with someone else while still loving AndI and for AndI she realized she was lonely and what makes it worse was she brought the idea up , although the end of the episode leaves them with hope we see the mental exhaustion an open marriage brings . Easy gives an apt description into modern day love and its storylines are worthy of more attention.
Sometimes we do this things consciously or unconsciously without knowing the damaging effect on our partners , people we claim to love
Another Societal Problem is people paras vaimo maailmassa staying in abusive relationships that are not healthy for them despite seeing red flags , all because they can’t stand being alone and independent or they might be worried about what their friends might say . Often times people see things their friends do and want to follow suit without paying attention to who their partner really is , and how they can affect them negatively. Sometimes The quest for materialistic things and exploring unimaginable career paths to the detriment of our partners needs often ruins relationships. Individuals need to drop the wokeness and the bad habits and maintain the standards that make relationships work . While some of these sexual experiments might work for instance Tom and Lucy a couple in season 1 of easy engage in a threesome with someone they meet of Tinder they are still Able to find a right balance that didn’t affect them but this doesn’t Work for everyone . Sometimes keeping it simple might be the solution to solving relationships disputes. , but society has evolved and is a mixture of the good , the bad and the awkward which we ultimately have to accept.
